Employee Spotlight: Sherry Evans

Sherry Evans is a Customer Service Director at Jim Butler South County and has been giving Jim Butler customers exceptional customer service for the past 14 years! Sherry was born in Belleville, Illinois and still resides there today. Sherry is a jack of all trades. Her list of hobbies is long and eccentric. In her free time she enjoys; cooking, yoga, reading & writing poetry, as well as learning to become an energy therapy practitioner. On top of that she’s a part time comedian and has the cutest animal you’ve never heard of, a Sugar Glider, an Australian marsupial that she treats like royalty.

When she isn’t busy having fun at work or caring for her Sugar Gliders, she loves going to some of the great Italian restaurants in St. Louis; especially on the hill!

Her favorite vehicle of the past and present is the 1967 MG Midget and loves really any new convertible but prefers a 2011 Mustang GT.

Sherry’s saying to live by is one that she truly does follow; “live well, laugh often, love more"

July 2012 - Employee Spotlight - Nancy Soailo

           

   Nancy Soailo is the secretary at Jim Butler South County. Nancy has been an integral part of the Jim Butler Auto Group Team for the past 6 years. Prior to her tenure at Jim Butler South County Nancy was the secretary at both Jim Butler Saturn locations. She currently resides in Imperial, Missouri but was born and raised in Webster Groves.

Nancy is a renaissance woman with many hobbies, most of which include her five grand kids. She loves going to the Fox Theatre, making jewelry, baking brownies for her Jim Butler co-workers, reading novels and generally putting smiles on other people’s faces.  Nancy is a sports enthusiast with a background in swimming and diving. She’s since retired from diving but still enjoys swimming. She’s a die-hard Rams and Cardinals fan while also looking forward to the 2012 Summer Olympics.

Nancy likes to keep herself busy and has no problem finding things to do in Saint Louis. She loves Soulard and all the great free things to do in the St. Louis area such as the Magic House, the Zoo and the Art Museum. Nancy has helped raise over $275 dollars for the Little Bit Foundation during the “Seats and Feet Drive” this week (Click for more info). Way to go Nancy!

Employee Spotlight - Dale Merz

Dale has been working at the Jim Butler South County location for the past 21 years and is also our Lead Mitsubishi Technician. Dale started working on vehicles as a profession over 30 years ago, which puts him in a classification of a "automotive service expert" that not many can claim. Dale is originally from the St. Louis Area, and currently leaves in Wentzville.

Dale eases his long work week, and lengthy drive to work often with a cruise on his 2010 Harley Davidson Street Glide. Favorite road to ride on his Harley is the Great River Road in Alton, Illinois. He has always had a passion for motorcycles and the open road. He also likes to relax on his day off with a round of golf.

When asked what the worst car he ever worked on was, his response was a 1984 Chrysler New Yorker. The reason, everything you touched needed to be re-engineered or replaced.

Employee Spotlight - Don Barker

Don Barker is a long time employee here at Jim Butler South County. He has been here during every change that has happened over the past 21 years. When the first Saturn store was established back in 1990, Don Barker started working for the Jim Butler Auto Group. Don is the Comptroller, and tends to wear many hats in managing the day-to-day activities at the dealership.

When Don isn't at the dealership, he is usually playing with his grandchildren and occasionally attending a Cardinals baseball game. He is also an avid snow skier, skeet shooter and fisherman. Don is from the St. Louis Area, and loves it....yes, even during the hot-humid summer months.

Employee Spotlight - Deana Holmes

Deana Holmes is the Office Manager at Jim Butler Mitsubishi in South County, but has been with the Jim Butler Team for the past 7 years. She started at the Chevy store but has played a part at just about every store in the Jim Butler Auto Group family. Her experience in the industry started with answering phones 14 years ago.

Deana is originally from Columbia, Missouri but when the time came to go to college arrived, she decided to move to St. Louis. She attended University of Missouri-St. Louis because staying in Columbia with Mom and Dad for school was not an option. She is married with one boy, whom she loves playing baseball with and going to St. Louis Blues games. Deana's other hobbies include shopping, shopping and more shopping. Of course, her favorite two sports are hockey and baseball with two favorite St. Louis teams---2012 World Series Champion Cardinals and the St. Louis Blues!

Welcome Cyndi Prosser-Employee Spotlight-March 2012

Cyndi Prosser is back! She previously worked for the Saturn location out in West County for almost 10 years and recently rejoined the Butler Team in South County as our Service Manager. Cyndi is originally from Morton, Illinois but moved to St. Louis with her husband when he was transferred with Charter. She has been working in the automotive service industry for the past 35 years, which means she might be a familiar face to some of you.

Cyndi has two kids, and two grand-children, translate that into her #1 hobby of enjoying time with her grand-children as much as possible. If she isn't spending time with the little ones then you can find her at the mall, doing a little retail therapy. Every summer, she looks forward to her girl's weekend of rafting down in Steelville. Cyndi's favorite place to eat is Senor Piques Mexican Restaurant in West County, and she recommends the fish tacos!
