The Mitsubishi Concept CA-MiEV Makes its Debut

The Mitsubishi Concept CA-MiEV is another concept car that debut at the Geneva Motor Show this month.  The Mitsubishi Concept CA-MiEV, which stands for Compact and Advanced, definitely lives up to what it stands for.

The Mitsubishi Concept CA-MiEV is able to go 186 miles from a 28-kWh lithium-ion battery and lightweight All-in-One integrated power unit (80-kW motor/inverter/charger), which is outstanding compared to other midsized EVs. This helps with energy management and weight reduction.

The interior is roomy and sleek with the latest telematics features. Some of these features include: Automatic e-mailing in case of theft, remote control engine start, panic alarm and door locking, along with remote energy monitoring for EVs and PHEVs. Jim Butler Mitsubishi will keep you posted as to if we will ever see the Mitsubishi Concept CA-MiEV hit production.

The drivetrain is good for CO2 emissions of 149 grams per kilometer. If the Concept GR-HEV ever reaches production we can assure you that Jim Butler Mitsubishi will have this Hybrid pick-up truck on the lot in St. Louis.

Limited-edition Mitsubishi 311RS Evo X at Jim Butler Mitsubishi

The debut of the Limited Edition Mitsubishi Evolution X thought up by Ryan Gates is making quite the impact. After a few years of planning the new 311 RS is finally here with some major improvements. With the new improvements it is said to be great for both racing and driving, according to Gates.

Some improvements that have been made include changing the intercooler and exhaust system to now put out 353 horsepower and 359 pound-feet of torque. The AMS intercooler is the same intercooler used on the championship-winning Gates 311 Evo X and AMS Time Attack Evo X, which allows for 80% more internal flow area over stock.

There have been speculations that the Limited-edition Mitsubishi 311RS Evo X will retail for $49,000. Jim Butler Mitsubishi looks forward to getting this gem on the lot soon!

2014 Mitsubishi Outlander at Jim Butler Mitsubishi

The new 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander is everything that Mitsubishi needs to turn things around. Mitsubishi hasn’t had a new model in quite some time. The 2014 Outlander has so much more to offer than the second and third generation Outlanders.

Under the hood you will find a 2.4-liter four-cylinder MIVEC engine. The SUV gets 25 miles per gallon in the city and 31 miles per gallon on the highway. To help be more fuel efficient, the engine has been fitted with a “smart” MIVEC system that will adjust valve timing and lift.

The inside was redesigned to ensure a comfortable ride with more room and safety in mind. The 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander has seven airbags and is expected to be a Top Safety Pick and receive a four or five star rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Because of its larger size and the fact that it gets better fuel economy, you can expect the price to be somewhere around $23,000. Jim Butler Mitsubishi in St. Louis looks forward to getting this new model on the lot!

New Mitsubishi coming to New York Auto Show in April

Mitsubishi has given an early look as to what can be expected from them come April for the 2013 New York Auto Show. The new Mitsubishi is expected to be at the April show already debuted in Canada this year at the Monteral Auto Show, but is still unnamed. In most markets it is called the Mirage, but in Europe is known as the Space Star.

The vehicle is based on Mitsubishi’s RISE Body System. RISE stands for Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution. In addition to the new body system, the mysterious Mitsubishi will be wrapped in aero-optimized body work and fitted with a 1.2-liter/3-cylinder MIVEC engine that makes 74 horsepower and 74 lb-ft of torque. The transmission choices available are a 5-speed manual transmission or an optional CVT automatic. The vehicle is expected to deliver outstanding fuel economy numbers regardless of which transmission consumers choose.

The new Mitsubishi will be bigger than its counterparts. It’s wider than the Chevy Spark, longer than the Scion iQ, and taller than the Hyundai Accent. The vehicle has a 96.5-inch wheelbase while riding on 14-inch wheels. The official name and trim/packaging information will become available at its New York Auto Show unveiling.
